Delta8-THC & Microdosing

The benefits of cannabis including stress and worry relief, healthy sleep, discomfort relief, recovery from exercise and more have been experienced in many cultures over thousands of years. Until recently its use in the US has been strictly regulated. With the 2018 Farm Bill, US Congress legalized “hemp” and components derived from the crop. Hemp and marijuana are the same plant, cannabis, but hemp contains under 0.3% Delta-9 THC. 

Delta-8 THC (D8-THC) on the other hand is a close cousin to Delta-9 THC and is naturally produced at low levels in the hemp plant and thus must be distilled into milligrams per serving in products.  D8-THC has similar effects as Delta-9 THC which is the primary THC component in marijuana cannabis. States have clarified whether D8-THC is legal or prohibited (see Is My State Legal? here).    

Much like the Moonshine of Prohibition, during the underground years, cannabis products have been geared towards high potency. Now in its early days of legality, what about people who want to use THC moderately for its many benefits while avoiding psychoactive side-effects?

Enter Pure Lyfe’s “microdosing” D8-THC products for first timers and moderation. 

Our goal is to provide products that make it easy to find your minimally effective milligram (mg) servings of THC. The outcome should be relaxation and relief from everyday stresses with little noticeable effect, often described as a relaxed focus followed by a restful sleep. 

We recommend starting with 2 mg of THC with or without CBD, increasing by 2 mg per day until you feel a slight effect and staying at that level. The delivery is provided by “tincture” (dropper bottle) products that have 8 mg of THC in each full dropper serving (1mL). Simply start with ¼ of the dropper and go up until your desired effect. The dropper products are taken sublingually (under the tongue) for further control of serving.
